About

Who are we?

A family-themed ensemble show featuring clean humor and celebrating the family unit in the tradition of Carol Burnett, Red Skelton, Dick Van Dyke, and Jackie Gleason.

Hosted by Emmy Award-winning comedian, Pat Hurley, who has performed stand-up comedy to over 7 million parents and children nationwide.

We have no political, social or religious agenda. We just want to make you smile at the end of a long day!

"A great sense of humor contributes to reducing the stress of life and is an excellent antidote in dealing with life’s setbacks.

Viewers that tune in to watch us will feel better, and can take a break from their problems for an hour and laugh with us!"

Musing.jpg

“The Musing Husband” frustrates his wife to no end by hiding his private thoughts from her!

There will be a “Family Tribute,” at the end of the pilot, with a special challenge to dads.

Final credits and theme song: “Ain’t We Got FUN!” a 1940’s version, performed by the Andrews Sisters

          Pat Hurley summarizes,

“Coming off a devastating pandemic that separated millions of family members, we want to reunite them and make them smile again! This will be accomplished with humor that is not politically divisive, crude, or mean-spirited.

"Our cast, comedy writers, musicians, and guest stars will be hired not just on their talent, but on their character and integrity. We will have a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs, alcohol, sexual harassment, disrespect towards others and destructive narcissism.”

Keep your eye on this website for the latest on the Pilot as we move forward to its production!  In the meantime, video samples will be posted on YouTube.

Pat Hurley has performed inspirational stand-up comedy to over 7 million parents and families in 47 states nationwide since 1970.  He won an Emmy Award for “Best Locally Produced Show in Chicago,” and was the assistant producer, head writer and host for two other Emmy Award-winning shows. One of the script's most attractive qualities is its sense of comedy. The script has a great madcap sense of humor and unpredictability.

An edgy family-themed ensemble comedy show.

The writer formats this script according to standard industry conventions. There are no glaring formatting or spelling errors that would detract from the reading experience. This script makes for a good pitch. The dialog in this script is somewhat nuanced. The dialogue is funny. It is intentionally theatrical and easy to read. There is a logical flow from scene to scene. It does not require re-reading for clarify's sake
